Adding Pages & Categories

Add A Category

2. Give the category a name. For example: "Company".

3. Next, select the "Parent Category".  This will determine where the new category will be found in the website's navigation.  For example, if you were creating a "Sofas" category, you might want to have it in the "Furniture" section of the website, so you'd select "Furniture".  If you wanted "Sofas" to be a standalone section of the website (not nested under any other category), you'd select "Top Level".

4. Once you're done, click "Add Category" to create the category.  It will now be available to be selected as a "Parent Category" when creating new pages; however, the category will not show up in the website's navigation menu until there is at least one active page associated with this category.

Troubleshooting

If you experience an error when creating a category it is likely that you have not been granted permissions to add pages to the "Parent Category" you have selected.  Please try a different "Parent Category", or ask a website administrator to provide you with a higher level of access.
